It’s grey outside and I’m under my blanket watching one of my hero’s outfits in the film “grey gardens”. If you haven’t seen it, see it! If you have seen it, see it!

After a long walk in the sun me and Linn went to see her friend that is exposing his clothes in via tortona at super studio. We walked around for a while in the fair pretending to be buyers and taking inspiration pictures fo “our store” before we went out in the sun again and ate super ice cream.

Today it’s sunny and 16 degrees warm in milano. The spring is comming and you can thank me for that. I’ve been working spring outfits since january! My best friend who is here working for acne won’t be able to enjoy the sun today but I’m going over to her showroom with a little treat from dior as a sun substitute.

Sliding, slipping, falling, floating dynamic cuts… Masai warriors… Necks… Scotland.
The press release kit from missoni included a not understandable collection description, a nice note book with colored pages, a pencil and missoni water that tasted like water.
The collection was amazing ofcource but the nicest thing was seeing mr. Missoni among the people with his wife adjusting his cardigan waiting for the taxi under the rain just like the rest of us.

Yesterday was Therese’s birthday. We celebrated with an unwanted cake and too much appletini.

It’s fashion week in milano and I’m helping styling for Ter et Batin. Long days and night and no time for fashionshows. But yesterday I managed to sneak away to see Prada. I love to see the shows live, it’s such a difference from waching them on style.com ( not only because of the unlimited champagne after
)

Yesterday I met the sweetest old ladies. Not far from my house someone have buildt a little house and put out cat food and water. There are always a bunch of cats hanging out there and I’m seriously thinking of taking one of them home one day. Anyways I always wonered who was behind this little shelter. And so yesterday I finaly met them. They told me that they have been doing it for years and they even have name for all the cats. The one on the picture is called “Tigro”.
I walked away smiling at all the old ladies thinking they might doing things like that too. Just outside my door two other old ladies approached me. I smiled and they said that they were from jehovas witnesses and that they wanted me to let them into the building. I didn’t ofcource and it made me stop smiling for a while because I hate door sellers. Sush a paradox, I know wich kind of lady I want to bee when get old.

Nordic design is really hyped in milano and in the trendy shops like ” Wok” and “Frip” you find a lot of swedish brands such as: Acne, Rodebjer and Ann-sofie Back. They cost a little bit more than they do in sweden but sometimes I can’t help but buying anyways. Friday I bought a too expensive beautiful black acne dress. I justified it by buying a feather boa and a mask and tell everyone that it was my carneval outfit. I was a fancy crow this weekend!

It’s been raining for days in milano and I’m sick of it. I try to make a revolt against this never ending winter by only wearing spring clothes. Today I woke up at my bf house and saw his terrace covered in rain with grey clouds hanging over it. I looked in the wardrobe and I found these 3 dresses… I’ve been freezing all day but I’m not giving up. I still belive that spring will come any day now!

When I used to live in florence the old men sitting in the piazza next to our house always told me and my sister in typical firenze dialect: Ma non he harnivale ( it’s not carneval). They thought we were way too dressed up.
But guess what, now it’s actually carnivale for real and you can dress up as crazy as you want. No limits! Last year I had on a green wig that I stole from a gay guy at a club in paris. But this year I plan to dress up in something special!

This weekend I worked a lot for a change. Since I started working at 7 in the morning I thought maybe it would be a good idea to try to finish the party a little bit earlier. The only problem is that usually no clubs are fun before 2 am… When I left the club the only people that had arrived was me, my friends and two fire men.

There is this thing in milano called Radio bus. The radio bus is like a taxi that takes you and all your friends from one party to an other for only 2 euro per person. I always feel like I’m in a school field trip when I take them: Someone always start to sing, the cool kids stay in the back, the busdriver screams “sit down in the bus” and some poor kid feels sick and looks out the window. You have to be lucky to get one of these radio buses, but when you see one waiting for you, take it!

Today I went to a sex shop in milano to try to find a transperant body suit in nylon that the stylist I’m working for needs for a video we are shooting this weekend. I usually don’t go to sex shops but I’ve been there one time before buying the same thing for an other shoot. Last time I was there I felt kind of akward, specially since the transexual owner started to talk with me about her broken relationship and because I got eyecontact with a friend of a friend on the street as I left the shop ( you know those friends of friends that you don’t say hi to but they know you and they will tell your friend that they saw you). But this time I actually lift my eyes from the ground and watched the stuff in the shop. I realised they have super nice stockings and eye lashes, perfect for my party nights. I’m gonna go back tomorrow and get some gear ( but maybe I take my zebra mask just in case any friends of friends walk on the street).

I’m trying to help my friend with his homework. He has to create a lookbook and I thought it could be nice for the model to jump like this. He doesn’t think it’s a good idea at all and he says I look like I sniffed something and then jumped up high.

Finaly I went to see the yayoi kusama exposition. Yayoi Kusama is an amazing artist that does instalations, preformances and paintings with polca dots. The best part of the expo was the infinity room, a room with mirrors and lamps that made you feel like you were in space. You could only go four at a time in that room and before me and my friends went in the door man told us to not step in the surrounding water ( ofcource i steped in it). He also told us that we couldn’t take pics in there ( but ofcource i did, i mean i have a blog).

After the night with Rune I had to get some new discs, luckly for me there was the vinylmania today. An international vinyl fair that is organized three times a year in milano. Strange music nerds, original reccords and dust.

There is another wiking in town! I’m not alone! Rune Lindbaek was playing music at “Pink is punk” last night. He is the happiest dj I’ve met and he made the milanese people go crazy.

It’s friday and here are two reasons to drink champagne and good wine: “wine tap key chain” and “elton john glasses for the bottle”.

I’m a little bit scared of my friend. Why does he have sculps, piraya teeth, scary smoking figures and a harpoon at home?

It’s starting to get spring in milan ( or at least a swedish kind of spring) and it makes me want to buy a vintage bike and pimp it up. I always thought that it’s better to have a crappy bike rather than a new one because then people won’t be tempted to steal or destroy it. This morning I saw two bikes outside my house that kind of questioned this theory though. They were rusty, they were old but someone had stolen the saddles. I don’t get the steal from the poor and give to the poor. Have people lost their pirate moral?
Pussy cat
Happy boys
Buddha
Buddha's new home
I wish that I could move into the store “gioiello di pietra”. It’s the best antique store in milan and I could walk around there for hours just saying : Oh, that’s soo me! The only tiny problem is that I can’t afford the things they have in there. I really want the tiger they have, or those happy boys. Or at least a buddha. Anyways I’m happy because my friend acctually adopted a beautiful buddha the other day so everytime I’m at his house I get to feel a little bit like I’m living inside “gioiello di pietra”. And I can walk up to the golden buddha and say: You are soo me!

punks wear prada

Beard

plastic diva
I never felt more masculine than I did saturday night. I’m looking through the pictures now and I’m starting to realise why. I went to “punks wear prada” at Santa tecla and was met by tall glamorous girls every where, it was a drag queen night! My friend grew a moustach as soon as we entred the place and we looked more and more like boys the more the night went by. After a while we went to Plastic instead but there we faded next to a drag queen diva that had taken over the stage. I think I’m recovered now but look at me in the previous post in navigli… I still looked quite masculine there, didn’t I?

Navigli

crocodile dundee

lotti
What a sunday! The last sunday of every month there is a big vintage market in navigli. You can find everything there. Today I found a scary crocodile, a pshycadelic shirt, my amazing friend Lotti and a shining sun!

silver pills

how many should i take?

at least six

ma che cazzo è sta roba?
Friday I went to the supermarket and I found those silver balls that I used to get on my birthday cake as a kid. Sugar is sush a kid drug and to get sugar in silver, it was like heaven! I bought them and brought them to a dinner party. After some glases of wine the silver balls changed name into silver pills and got put in a little jar. The silver pills got to get out with us to ” Tunnel” wich is a dark club in milano with great dj sets. ” Tunnel” atracts a lot of druggie kids, maybe because it’s so dark in there. Ofcource at one point we took up our silver pills and started giving them out. I remember comments on them like: “Ma dove prenderle?” ( where do i take them?) and “che figo, hanno anche un buon gusto” ( wow, they even taste good) . I think I got some good karma that night, feeding those pale druggie kids with some pure silver sugar!

I’ m watching “Daisies” (1966), my favorite film by sedmikrásky. It’s about two girls who search for pleasure. Sometimes they fool rich men to pay their dinner and then they put them on long distance trains. Other times they cut themselves into small pieces, hang in the candelier or eat apples in the paradise. You have to see it to belive it!

brutto posse dj's

after in school
I planned to celebrate that I had done the exam last night but since I missed it I decided to just party. Thursdays are one of the best days of the week to party in milano. Yesterday we started our night at Ritas in Navigli having frozen margerritas with bamboo salt and watching the little exhibition of car crashes. Ofcource we got into a party mood and all of the sudden we were in sakrestia dancing to hip hop played by the brutto posse dj’s. Sakrestia is an amazing place, it reminds of a posh livingroom with book shelfs, paintings and chandeliers. I had a great night, just too bad the afterparty has to be in my school.

I studied italian contracts all night but i fell asleep in the morning and missed my exam. Che palle ( heavy balls)!

books

my book
Today I went to see a photographer for a upcoming work. I got lost on the way there and I found this cute little book wagon in piazza oberdan. I bought a book with a woman holding a champagne glass and the seller asked me if I knew the author. Ofcource I only bought that book because I liked the cover but I answered that it seemed interesting and that I looked forward to read it. Next to the book wagon I bought vogue paris and I saw him looking at me with sad eyes thinking I would never read that book. He is probably right but anyways that book is now standing on a shelf looking beautiful and after all don’t they say that a picture says more than a thousand words?

My fridge is kind of sad. I just opened it and saw that I only have vodka, tonic and a birra moretti inside. Like almost always my fridge force me to go out for aperitivo. But I’m not sad because aperitivo is like the best student dinner solution in the world. I think more countries should adopt the idea of aperitivo from italy. Basicaly you buy a drink for around 7 euros and then you get to eat as much as you want from a nice buffet. Perfetto!

big feet
There is a store close to my house that used to sell 30 euro high heels, perfect high heels to trash. Today I went there and the shoes still cost 30 euros. The only problem is that they only sell sneakers now, sneakers in size 46-53!

che mondo di merda
The bad news is that I saw this advertising on my way home yesterday night. Who are they trying to sell that hamburger to? The italian nationalist? But then again there is nothing italian about Mc Donalds. And ok I admit that I’m vegetarian and hamburgers never look tasty to me, but printing italy on fake meat looks disgusting! The good news is that someone wrote “che mondo di merda” over it.

One of my favorite areas in milan is “le colonne”. Specially because of this amazing gate. Who made the painting? Was it made in agreement with the house owner or is it left untouched simply because it’s brilliant? I don’t know.. I just know I love it!
